User Guide

The AT3400 AllTouch remote control has been programmed to control your Cisco?? set-top box and can be programmed to control your TV.

Before You Begin

Be sure that your television power cord and your Cisco set-top box are not plugged into the same wall outlet.

Install Batteries

The remote requires two alkaline AAA batteries. A diagram inside the battery compartment of the remote indicates proper placement of the batteries.

Know Your Remote

The diagram below describes each key on your remote control. Functions may vary between different services.

Refer to the user guide for your set-top for descriptions of speci???c functions.

Progamming the AT3400 Manually

Use the steps below to program your AT3400 manually. Find your manufacturer in the

list of TV Setup Codes and begin with the ???rst code listed. If that code does not work, repeat these steps with the next code listed. Or you can scan for a code using the steps in Scanning for Codes.

1.Hold the TV key until both device keys begin to ???ash. Then release the TV key.

2.Enter the four-digit code for your TV model. After you press the ???rst digit, the TV key should light up and remain on. After you press the last digit, the TV key ???ashes three times.

3.Test the remote control to make sure that it controls the TV. If the functions do not work, try the next code listed.

If none of the codes for your TV work, try the steps in Scanning for Codes.

Scanning for Codes to Program the TV

The AT3400 can scan all the codes for your TV and ???nd the best match. Use the steps below or see the steps in Programming the AT3400 Manually.

1.Make sure that your TV is powered on.

2.Hold the TV key until both device keys on the remote control begin to ???ash. Then release the TV key.

3.Press the Power key. The TV key stops ???ashing and remains on.

4.Point the remote control at your TV.

5.Hold the ??? key until your TV turns off.

6.When the TV turns off, you have found a possible code. Press the Power key to turn your TV back on. Test the remote control. If the functions do not work, make sure the device is still powered on. Then go back to step 5 to continue scanning.

7.When you ???nd a code, make sure that the TV is powered on, then press the OK key to lock the code. The TV key ???ashes three times. Go to Recalling a Device Code to ???nd out your code and record in the spaces provided.

Programming Volume Control

By default, your volume buttons operate the TV instead of the set-top box. Follow these steps if you want to control volume through the set-top box:

1.Hold the STB key until both device keys begin to ???ash. Then release the STB key.

2.Press the Volume + key. The STB key stops ???ashing and remains on.

3.Press the Volume ??? key. The STB key turns off while you press Volume ??? and turns on again when you release Volume ???.

4.Press the STB key. The STB key ???ashes three times.

If you want to revert to the original settings:

1.Hold the STB key until both device keys start to ???ash. Then release the STB key.

2.Press the Volume + key. The STB key stops ???ashing and remains on.

3.Press the Volume ??? key, then press the OK key. After you release the OK key, the STB device key ???ashes three times and

4.Press the TV key. The TV key ???ashes three times.

Adjusting the Channel Lock

By default, your channel buttons always operate the set-top box instead of the TV. If you want the channel buttons to operate the TV instead, follow these steps:

1.Press the STB key until both device keys start to ???ash. Then release the STB key.

2.Press the Channel + key, then press and release the Channel ??? key.

3.Press the OK key. The STB key ???ashes three times.

4.Repeat these steps if you want to revert to the original settings.

Turning Off Master Power

By default, your Power button controls both the TV and the set-top box. Follow these steps if you only want it to control the set-top box.

1.Hold the STB key until both device keys begin to ???ash.

2.Press and release the Power key, then the STB mode key, then the Power key again. The STB key ???ashes three times.

Follow these steps if you want to revert to the original settings.

1.Hold the STB key until both device keys begin to ???ash.

2.Press and release the Power key, then the STB mode key, then the TV mode key, then the Power key again. The STB key ???ashes three times.

Recalling a TV Code

Follow these steps if you need to know your TV code.

1.Hold the TV key until both device keys begin to ???ash. Then release the TV key.

2.Press the OK key. The TV key ???ashes each of the four digits in the code, separated by pauses. A rapid ???icker represents zero. So a code of 1032 will be shown as:

FLASH <pause> FLICKER <pause> FLASH??? FLASH??? FLASH??? <pause>

FLASH??? FLASH

Handling Disposable Batteries

This product may contain disposable batteries. Heed the following warning and Battery Safety and Battery Disposal instructions.

WARNING: There is danger of explosion if the battery is mishandled or incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same type of battery.

Do not disassemble it or attempt to recharge it outside the system. Do not crush, puncture, dispose of in ???re, short the external contacts, or expose to water or other liquids. Dispose of the battery in accordance with local regulations and instructions from your service provider.

Battery Safety

???Insert batteries correctly. There may be a risk of explosion if the batteries are incorrectly inserted.

???Do not attempt to recharge ???disposable??? or ???non-reusable??? batteries.

???Please follow instructions provided for charging ???rechargeable??? batteries.

???Replace batteries with the same or equivalent type that we recommend.

???Do not expose batteries to excessive heat (such as sunlight or ???re).

???Do not expose batteries to temperatures above 100??C (212??F).

Battery Disposal

???The batteries may contain substances that could be harmful to the environment.

???Recycle or dispose of batteries in accordance with the battery manufacturer???s instructions and local/national disposal and recycling regulations.

???The batteries may contain perchlorate, a known hazardous substance, so special handling and disposal of this product might be necessary.
