??? Once activated, remove the label, and then place the handset in the base unit to charge.
??? Do not plug your phone into the phone line while charging.

??? Replace your battery cover. To ensure it is securely connected, insert the bottom ???rst.

???Plug one end of the supplied long modular cord into the TEL LINE jack.
???Insert the supplied AC adapter???s barrel plug into the DC IN 9V jack on the bottom of the base and route the adapter???s cord through the strain relief slot on the base.
???Plug the other end of the modular cord into a modular phone line jack.
???Plug the adapter into a standard AC outlet.

To make a call:
??? Pick up the handset.
??? Press TALK/ FLASH.
??? Listen for the dial tone and dial the
??? Pick up the handset and dial the number. ??? Then press TALK/FLASH.
To receive a call:
If Auto Talk is on, just pick up the handset; and, if Auto Talk is off, pick up the handset and press TALK/FLASH.
If the handset is off the base and Auto Talk is on, press
Note TALK/FLASH, any number, /TONE/< or #/>. Or, if Auto Talk is off, press TALK/FLASH. Refer to page 16 of your User???s Guide for more
information on the Auto Talk feature.
