SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN

SERIOUS INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE AND WILL VOID WARRANTY.

Owner must ensure that all players know and follow these rules for safe operation of the system.

To ensure safety, do not attempt to assemble this system without following the instructions carefully. Proper and complete assembly, use and supervision is essential for proper operation and to reduce the risk of accident or injury. A high probability of serious injury exists if this system is not installed, maintained, and operated properly. Check entire box and inside all packing material for parts and/or additional instructional material. Before beginning assembly, read the instructions and identify parts using the hardware identifier and parts list in this document.

???If using a ladder during assembly, use extreme caution.

???Two (2) people are recommended for this operation.

???Ensure there are no overhead power lines within 20 ft. (7 m) radius of system location.

???Climate, corrosion, excessive use, or misuse could result in system failure.

???If technical assistance is required, contact Huffy Sports.

???Read and understand the warning label affixed to pole.

???The life of your basketball pole depends on many conditions. The climate, placement of the pole, the location of the pole, exposure to corrosives such as pesticides, herbicides or salts are all important.

???Adult supervision is recommended when adjusting height.

???Serious injury could occur if teeth/face come in contact with rebounder.

Most injuries are caused by misuse and/or not following instructions.

SECTION A : ASSEMBLING THE McCALL'S REBOUNDER

1.Tip base on it's side and install casters (2) to the bottom of base (1) as shown using bolts (22), lockwashers (31) and nuts (27).

2. Attach collar (8) to outer pole (5) as shown with T-Screw bolt (7). Tighten

completely.

NOTE:

3.Attach pole assembly (5 & 6) to base (1) using bolts (20) and lockwashers (29) as shown.

4.Attach left (3) and right (4) support braces to base (1) and then adjust collar (8) to accommodate strut height. Attach braces (3 & 4) using bolts (20) and lockwashers (29) as shown .

5.Attach graduated scale (12) to base (1) using bolt (21) and lockwasher (30) as shown

6.Attach graduated scale (12) to bracket affixed to the collar (8) as shown with nuts (25) and lockwashers (30).

7.Attach winch assembly (9, 10 & 11) to collar bracket using nut (25) and lockwasher (30) as shown [Winch components (9, 10 & 11) are preassembled].

8.Release the lever and unwind cable and attach top nut (25) and lockwasher (30) to fully secure winch assembly to collar bracket as shown.

9.Hook Indicator Bracket (13) around the Graduated Scale (12). Do not attach Rebound/Tip-in Indicator (14) yet, or the bracket will not fit around scale.

10.Attach Rebound/Tip-in Indicator (14) to indicator bracket (13) while holding bracket (13) in the position shown. The bracket/tip-in assembly (13 & 14) will not be secured until the next step (#11).

11.Attach unwound cord to indicator bracket (13) and bracket on outer pole (5) using nut (24) and lockwasher (28) as shown.

NOTE:

DIFFERENT HEIGHTS

DENOTED ON THE TIP-IN

INDICATOR.

12.Turn hopper (15) upside down and attach air checks (18) as shown by removing and then re-inserting the retaining (33) and clevis (32) pins connected to the air checks (18).

ITEMS (34 & 23) COME

13.Place (2) 100 lb. sand bags (not included) into storage bags (35). Add bags to the base as shown.

IMPORTANT!

DO NOT EMPTY SAND FROM

SAND BAGS INTO THE

STORAGE BAGS. PLACE

SEALED SAND BAGS

COMPLETELY INTO

STORAGE BAGS.

14 Slide Hopper assembly (15) over the top of the pole (5) tighten bolts indicated.

WARNING

THE HOPPER IS HEAVY! TWO PERSON

MINIMUM REQUIRED FOR THIS PROCEDURE.

NOT FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATION MAY

RESULT IN BODILY INJURY.

DO NOT LEAVE ASSEMBLED UNIT

UNATTENDED WITHOUT SAND SUPPORT,

IT MAY TIP OVER.

Tighten completely 9/16" wrench needed

SECTION B : OPERATING THE McCALL'S REBOUNDER

1.BALL-CHECK MECHANISM - STANDARD POSTION

1.Ball-Check Mechanism (17) holding ball.

2.For normal operation, pull down on Rebound Arm (16) which causes Ball-Check Mechanism (17) to drop, allowing ball to pass to arm.

3.Ball in arm position with Ball-Check Mechanism (17) holding next ball.

NOTE:

IF THE REBOUND ARM IS

RETURNING TOO FAST, OR IS

RETURNING TOO SLOW, THE AIR CHECKS (18) MAY HAVE TO BE

ADJUSTED ACCORDINGLY.

2.DRILLS REQUIRING BALL TO PASS WITHOUT STOPPING

1.Revearse position of Ball-Check Release (17) and pull down on Rebound Arm

(16)until Ball-Check Mechanism (17) drops out of position.

SECTION C : ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT

1.Adjust height by unlocking the winch lever (fig. A) and turning handle (9). Set winch lever back to the locked position (fig. B) when desired height is attained.
