Assembly and Instructions for Use

1.Unpack the product and check to make sure everything is included (Fig. 1).

2.This unit is powered by a DC adaptor.

3.The battery power is designed only to provide MEMORY BACK-UP for the clock and alarm settings. One CR2032 battery (included) is inserted into the battery compartment if memory back-up is desired (in the event of power outages or if the unit is unplugged). The memory back up will keep track of the time and as soon as the power supply returns, the display will indicate the correct time, and the functions will become available again.

4.Attach the adaptor into the DC jack on the base of the unit (Fig. 3) and insert the cord into a 120V household outlet.

Setting Time

SETTING THE CLOCK (Fig. 3):

1.Slide the Time Zone switch to the correct zone. (P=Pacific/M=Mountain/ C=Central/E=Eastern)

2.Slide the 12/24 switch to the desired setting (24 indicates Military time).

3.Slide the DST switch to either ON or OFF to set your clock to automatically adjust for the Daylight Savings Time (DST).

To set the DATE/TIME (Fig 1):

Press and hold the DATE/TIME SET button.

1.The year will flash. Use the +/- buttons to set year.

2.When year is set, press DATE/TIME???SET button. Month and day will flash. Press the +/- buttons to set month. When month is set, press the DATE/TIME SET and use the +/- buttons to set day.

3.When month and day are set, press DATE/TIME SET. Hour will flash. Use the +/- buttons to set hour. NOTE: AM/PM choice will be made at this time.

4.When hour is set, press the DATE/TIME SET button. Minutes will flash. Use the +/- buttons to set minutes. Minutes will flash for 10 seconds and then stop. Your clock is set.

Note: A PM indicator will appear in the upper left hand corner of the LCD display during the PM hours. Be sure to set the time for the correct 12-hour period - AM (morning) or PM (evening).

Listening to Nature Sounds

1.Select the sound you wish to listen to and press the corresponding button (Fig. 1).

2.To adjust the volume, turn the VOLUME knob (Fig. 1) to your desired level.

3.When finished listening to the sounds you may turn them off by pressing the POWER button, or switch to the radio by pressing RADIO (Fig. 1).

Note: When the unit is turned on it will always default to the last mode used.

Listening to the Radio

1.Press the RADIO button (Fig. 1).

2.Press the RADIO button to choose AM/FM.

3.Rotate the TUNER (Fig. 1) to select a radio station.

4.To adjust the volume turn the VOLUME knob (Fig. 1) to your desired level.

5.When finished listening to the radio you may turn it off by pressing the

POWER button. (Fig. 1)

Note: Adjust the antenna on the back of the unit to better the radio reception if needed. (Fig. 3)

Using the Auto-Timer

When the power is on and you are listening to a nature sound or the radio you may set a timer so the unit will automatically turn off.

1.Toggle through the TIMER button (Fig. 1) until you find the time of your choice, 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.

2.To cancel the timer, toggle through the TIMER button until the LED light says ???OFF??? or press POWER (Fig. 1).

Setting and Using The Alarm

Setting and using Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 (Individually)

1.Press and hold the Alarm 1 button. The hour will flash (Fig. 1)

2.Using the +/- buttons on the back (Fig. 3), set the hour.

3.Press the Alarm 1 button again and the minutes will flash. Use the +/- keys to set the minutes.

4.The Alarm 1 time will show under the main clock display.

5.To activate the alarm and choose a wake tone, press the Alarm 1 button to scroll through the wake tone options: Beep, Radio or Sound. (Fig. 1)

NOTE: When using the sound mode, the unit will set to the last sound you listened to. If you wish to change it press the sound you wish to wake to and then press the POWER button (Fig 1).

6.Once your choice is made, a (%) will appear next to the Alarm 1 time. Your alarm is set.

7.To set a second alarm, repeat steps 1-6 above, using the Alarm 2 button.

8.When the alarm sounds you may:

a.Press the SNOOZE button (Fig. 1). Your sleep time will be extended by 9 minutes. You may use this feature until you turn the alarm off.

b.Turn OFF: Press the POWER button to turn off the alarm. Your alarm will turn off but remain set for the next day. If you wish to turn the alarm off completely or choose a different wake tone, repeat steps 1-6 in ???SETTING AND USING THE

ALARM???

NOTE: If the alarm sounds for 30 minutes continuously it will automatically turn off.

Using the ???Nap??? Feature

1.Press the snooze button to toggle through your choice of nap length (15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes). (Fig. 1)

2.Once set, the clock will display the time and indicate ???nap??? on the LCD screen.

3.When nap alarm sounds, press the power button to turn off. (Fig. 1)

Using the Projection Feature

1.To turn the projection feature on, press the projector ON/OFF button (Fig. 3) on the back of the unit. The time & outdoor temperature is now projected on the wall or ceiling.

NOTE: If the projection feature is OFF, you may hit the SNOOZE button (Fig. 1) to trigger 5 seconds of projection.

2.The angle of the projector can be adjusted to angle on the ceiling or wall by moving the PROJECTOR TUBE (Fig. 3) forward or backward.

3.To turn the angle of the time & temperature that appears on the wall or ceiling, rotate the TIME ROTATION KNOB (Fig. 3) until you have reached your desired result.

NOTE: The TIME ROTATION KNOB will rotate up to 350 degrees.

4.To focus the time & temperature on the wall or ceiling rotate the FOCUS KNOB (Fig. 3) until you have reached your desired result.

Using Indoor Temperature

The unit will begin reading indoor temperature when it is plugged in. Allow a few minutes for the correct temperature to register on the LCD display. (Fig. 2)

Using Outdoor Temperature

Be sure the SoundSpa unit is plugged in prior to the remote sensor battery installation.

Remote Sensor Battery Installation:

1.Loosen the 4 screws securing the battery cover with a small screwdriver (included) and remove. Insert 2 alkaline AAA batteries according to the polarity direction indicated.

2.Place the home receiver (SoundSpa Premier) as close as possible to the remote sensor. This will help with synchronization between the two units.

NOTE: Once you are ready to position your remote sensor and home receiver, ensure that the distance is not outside the effective transmission range (100 feet). Some building materials and location of the home receiver or remote sensor can affect transmission quality and range. Try various locations for best results.

3.Press the C/F button inside the remote sensor to change between ??C and ??F. (The remote sensor is preset on ??F.)

4.Press the TX button inside of the remote sensor to verify the reception.

5.Replace the cover and tighten the 4 screws.

NOTE: It is recommended to test the units next to each other to ensure that both the remote sensor and home receiver are properly synchronized.

Remote Sensor Mounting Instructions

The Remote Sensor comes with a table stand or can be wall mounted.

Table Stand -

Simply fold out the attached stand from the mounting bracket.

Wall Mounting -

Set a screw in the desired hanging location and mount. A screw and wall anchor have been included for your convenience.

NOTE: Keep the remote sensor out of direct sunlight and rain. Do not mount on metal surface.

Remote Sensor Low Battery Indication

Low battery indication is available for the main unit and the remote sensor.

A battery life ??? ??? icon will display on both. Replace the batteries as necessary and follow the setup procedure.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS

???Extreme temperatures, shock or areas of unusual vibration should be avoided to prevent damage to the units.

???Clean the units using only a soft, damp cloth to wipe. Do not use solvents, abrasives, detergents or other strong cleaning agents. After cleaning, wipe surfaces with a dry cloth.

???Do not submerge units in water or other liquids.

???Do not subject the units to extremely severe temperatures - DO NOT PLACE

UNITS INTO OVENS, FREEZERS or MICROWAVE UNITS.

NOTE: Opening the housing (other than the battery compartment) of the Remote Sensor or the SoundSpa Unit will invalidate your warranty. Do not attempt to repair this unit - There are no consumer serviceable parts.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Indoor and Outdoor temperatures do not match when placed next to each other -

The sensor is manufactured to be +/- 2 degree in accuracy under normal conditions. So it is possible to have up to four degrees difference shown on the separate temperature sensors (one could be ???+2 degree??? and the other

???-2 degree???. Additionally, the calibration curve is different between the two units because of the greater temperature range of the outdoor sensor. Errors are usually noted on the extreme ends of the temperature ranges.

SoundSpa unit is not accepting remote transmissions -

The units may not be properly synchronized or the batteries may need to be replaced. See ???USING OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE??? section for detailed instructions. With the two units next to each other, attempt synchronization.

Remember to always place the remote sensor within the effective transmission range and away from large metal surfaces.

What is the recommended battery type?

We recommend using only alkaline batteries.

Where can I mount the remote sensor?

To get accurate readings and to prolong the life of your sensor, we recommend

that you mount it out of direct sunlight and rain. Fog and mist will not affect the

sensor, but large volumes of soaking rain may. To guard against this, we

recommend that you mount it under the eve of your house, your garage or any

other suitable place that will keep it out of direct sun and rain.

Modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may void users authority to operate this device.

Outdoor Temperature Reading shows ???- -???

This may indicate a low battery or out of transmission range.

Instrucciones de uso y montaje

1.Desempaque el producto y aseg??rese de que no falte nada (Fig. 1).

2.Esta unidad se alimenta con un adaptador de CC.

3.La corriente de la bater??a sirve s??lo para proporcionar MEMORIA DE RESPALDO para los ajustes del reloj y alarma. En el compartimiento para la bater??a se deben colocar una pila CR2032 (incluida) ,si se desea el respaldo de la memoria (en el caso de un apag??n de corriente o si se desenchufa la unidad). La memoria de respaldo registrar?? el tiempo transcurrido y apenas vuelva la energ??a, la pantalla indicar?? la hora correcta y las funciones estar??n disponibles otra vez.

4.Conecte el adaptador de CC en el enchufe a la base de la unidad (Fig. 3) y enchufe el cord??n a un tomacorriente dom??stico de 120 voltios.

C??mo configurar la hora

CONFIGURACI??N DEL RELOJ (Fig. 3):

1.Deslice el interruptor de zona horaria a la zona correcta. (P=Pac??fico/M=Monta??a/C=Central/E=Este)

2.Deslice el interruptor de 12/24 a la configuraci??n deseada (24 indica formato de 24 horas).

3.Deslice el interruptor de encendido y apagado de DST a ON u OFF (encendido o apagado) para configurar su reloj para que se ajuste autom??ticamente al horario de verano (DST).

Para configurar la FECHA/HORA (Fig. 1):

Presione y mantenga presionado el bot??n DATE/TIME SET (configuraci??n de fecha y hora).

1.El a??o destellar??. Use los botones +/- para configurar el a??o.

2.Cuando el a??o est?? configurado, presione el bot??n DATE/TIME SET. El mes y el d??a destellar??n. Presione los botones +/- para configurar el mes. Cuando el mes est?? configurado, presione el bot??n DATE/TIME SET y use los botones +/- para configurar el d??a.

3.Cuando el mes y el d??a est??n configurados, presione el bot??n DATE/TIME SET.

La hora destellar??. Use los botones +/- para configurar la hora. NOTA: En este momento elegir?? AM o PM.

4.Cuando la hora est?? configurada, presione el bot??n DATE/TIME SET. Los minutos destellar??n. Use los botones +/- para configurar los minutos. Los minutos destellar??n durante 10 segundos y despu??s se detendr??n. Su reloj est?? configurado.

Nota: Durante las horas PM, aparecer?? un indicador de PM en el ??ngulo superior izquierdo de la pantalla LCD. Aseg??rese de configurar la hora para el per??odo de 12 horas correcto ??? AM (ma??ana) o PM (tarde).

Para escuchar los sonidos de la Naturaleza

1.Seleccione el sonido que desea escuchar y presione el bot??n correspondiente

(Fig. 1).

2.Para ajustar el volumen, gire la perilla VOLUME (Fig. 1) hasta el nivel que desee.

3.Cuando ya no desee escuchar los sonidos, puede apagarlos presionando el bot??n POWER (encendido) o cambiar a la radio presionando RADIO (Fig. 1).

Nota: Cuando la unidad se encienda, siempre volver?? al ??ltimo modo usado.

Para escuchar la radio

1.Presione el bot??n RADIO (Fig. 1).

2.Presione el bot??n RADIO para elegir AM o FM.

3.Gire el TUNER (sintonizador) (Fig. 1) para seleccionar una estaci??n de radio.

4.Para ajustar el volumen, gire la perilla VOLUME (Fig. 1) hasta el nivel que desee.

5.Cuando ya no desee escuchar la radio, puede apagarla presionando el bot??n

POWER. (Fig. 1)

Nota: Ajuste la antena de la parte trasera de la unidad para mejorar la recepci??n de la radio si fuera necesario. (Fig. 3)

Uso del temporizador autom??tico

Cuando el dispositivo est?? encendido y est?? escuchando un sonido de la Naturaleza o la radio puede configurar un el temporizador para que la unidad se apague autom??ticamente.

1.Presione varias veces el bot??n TIMER (temporizador) (Fig. 1) hasta encontrar el lapso de tiempo de su preferencia, 15, 30, 45 ?? 60 minutos.

2.Para cancelar el temporizador, presione varias veces el bot??n TIMER hasta que la luz del LED diga ???OFF??? (apagado) o presione POWER (Fig. 1).

C??mo configurar y usar la alarma

C??mo configurar y usar la alarma 1 o la alarma 2 (individualmente)

1.Presione y mantenga presionado el bot??n Alarm 1 (alarma 1). La hora destellar?? (Fig. 1)

2.Configure la hora usando los botones +/- de la parte trasera (Fig. 3).

3.Presione nuevamente el bot??n Alarm 1 (alarma 1) y los minutos destellar??n. Use los botones +/- para configurar los minutos.

4.La hora de la alarma 1 aparecer?? debajo de la pantalla principal del reloj.

5.Para activar la alarma y elegir un tono de alarma, presione el bot??n Alarm 1

(alarma 1) para recorrer las opciones de tonos de alarma: pitido, radio o sonido. (Fig. 1)

NOTA: Cuando use el modo sonido, la unidad se configurar?? con el ??ltimo sonido que escuch??. Si desea cambiarlo, presione el sonido que desee escuchar como tono de alarma y despu??s presione el bot??n POWER (encendido) (Fig. 1).

6.Una vez que haya realizado la elecci??n, aparecer?? el s??mbolo (%) junto a la hora de la alarma 1. Su alarma est?? configurada.

7.Para configurar una segunda alarma, repita los pasos anteriores del 1 al 6, pero utilice el bot??n Alarm 2 (alarma 2).

8.Cuando la alarma suene, usted puede:

a. Presionar el bot??n SNOOZE (alarma de repetici??n) (Fig. 1). La alarma volver?? a sonar a los 9 minutos. Puede continuar utilizando esta caracter??stica hasta apagar la alarma.

b. Apagar la alarma: Presionar el bot??n POWER para apagar la alarma.

La alarma se apagar??, pero permanecer?? configurada para el d??a siguiente.

Si desea desactivar la alarma totalmente o elegir un tono de alarma diferente, repita los pasos del 1 al 6 de ???C??MO CONFIGURAR Y USAR LA ALARMA???.

NOTA: Si la alarma suena durante 30 minutos de forma continua, se apagar?? autom??ticamente.

Uso de la caracter??stica ???Nap??? (siesta)

1.Presione el bot??n de alarma de repetici??n para recorrer las opciones de duraci??n de la siesta (15, 30, 45 ?? 60 minutos). (Fig. 1)

2.Una vez que se haya realizado la configuraci??n, el reloj mostrar?? la hora e indicar?? ???nap??? (siesta) en la pantalla LCD.

3.Cuando suene la alarma de siesta, presione el bot??n de encendido para apagarla. (Fig. 1)

Uso de la Funci??n de Proyecci??n

1.Para encender la funci??n de proyecci??n, presione el bot??n ON/OFF (encendido/ apagado) del proyector en la parte trasera de la unidad. La hora y la temperatura exterior se proyectan entonces en la pared o el cielorraso.

ATENCI??N: Si la funci??n de proyecci??n est?? apagada, usted puede oprimir el bot??n SNOOZE (alarma repetida) (Fig. 1) para activar la proyecci??n por 5 segundos.

2.El ??ngulo del proyector puede ajustarse para la proyecci??n angular en el cielorraso moviendo el TUBO PROYECTOR hacia delante o atr??s (Fig. 3).

3.Para cambiar el ??ngulo de visi??n de la hora y temperatura que aparece en la pared o el cielorraso, gire la PERILLA DE ROTACI??N DE LA HORA hasta lograr el resultado deseado (Fig. 3).

ATENCI??N: La PERILLA DE ROTACI??N DE LA HORA gira hasta 350???grados.

4.Para enfocar la hora y la temperatura en la pared el cielorraso, gire la perilla del enfoque (FOCUS KNOB) (Fig. 3) hasta lograr el resultado deseado.

Uso de la Temperatura Interior

La unidad empieza a leer la temperatura al interior cuando queda enchufada.

Deje???pasar unos minutos para que la lectura correcta de la temperatura quede registrada en la pantalla LCD. (Fig. 2)

Uso de la Temperatura Exterior

Aseg??rese de que el SoundSpa est?? enchufado antes de instalar la bater??a del sensor remoto.

Instalaci??n de la Bater??a del Sensor Remoto:

1.Con el destornillador peque??o (incluido), afloje los 4 tornillos que sujetan la tapa de la bater??a y ret??rela. Introduzca 2 bater??as alcalinas AAA de acuerdo con la direcci??n de la polaridad que se indica.

2.Coloque el receptor dom??stico (SoundSpa Premier) tan cerca como sea posible al sensor remoto. Eso ayuda a sincronizar las dos unidades.

ATENCI??N: Cuando est?? listo para colocar el sensor remoto y el receptor dom??stico, aseg??rese de que la distancia entre los dos no exceda el l??mite efectivo de transmisi??n

(30 m ??? 100 pies). Algunos materiales de construcci??n y ciertas ubicaciones del receptor dom??stico y del sensor remoto pueden afectar la calidad y la distancia de la transmisi??n. Para los mejores resultados, ensaye varias ubicaciones.

3.Oprima el bot??n C/F al interior del sensor remoto para cambiar entre Co y Fo. (El sensor remoto est?? preajustado en Fo).

4.Oprima el bot??n TX al interior del sensor remoto para verificar la recepci??n.

5.Vuelva a colocar la tapa y ajuste los 4 tornillos.

ATENCI??N: Se recomienda ensayar las unidades a corta distancia entre ellas para asegurar que tanto el sensor remoto como el receptor dom??stico est??n propiamente sincronizados.

Instrucciones de Montaje del Sensor Remoto

El Sensor Remoto viene con un soporte de mesa o puede montarse en la pared.

Colocaci??n en la mesa -

Simplemente abra el soporte sujetado a la repisa de montaje.

Montaje de pared -

Coloque un tornillo en el lugar deseado de la pared y monte la unidad. Se incluyen un tornillo y un taco de pared por su conveniencia.

ATENCI??N: Mantenga el sensor remoto fuera de la luz solar y lluvia directas. No monte la unidad sobre una superficie met??lica.

Indicaci??n de Bater??a Baja del Sensor Remoto

La indicaci??n de bater??a baja est?? disponible en el main unit and the sensor remoto.

El icono ??? ??? de carga de bater??a aparece on both. Reemplace las bater??as seg??n sea necesario y siga el procedimiento de ajuste.

INSTRUCCIONES DE CUIDADO Y

MANTENIMIENTO

???Para prevenir da??os a las unidades, es importante evitar temperaturas extremas, golpes o las ??reas que presenten vibraciones anormales.

???Limpie las unidades usando s??lo un trapo suave y h??medo para limpiar. No use solventes, abrasivos, detergentes u otros agentes limpiadores agresivos. Despu??s de limpiar las superficies, s??quelas con un pa??o seco.

???No sumerja la unidad en agua u otros l??quidos.

???No someta las unidades a temperaturas extremadamente severas - NO???COLOQUE LAS UNIDADES EN EL HORNO, EN EL CONGELADOR o en el

HORNO DE MICROONDAS.

ATENCI??N: El abrir la caja (con exclusi??n del compartimiento para las bater??as) del Sensor Remoto o deL Sound Spa anula la garant??a. No trate de repara esta unidad ??? No hay partes que necesiten servicio por parte del???usuario.

SOLUCI??N DE PROBLEMAS

Las temperaturas interiores y exteriores no coinciden cuando se colo- can una junto a la otra ???

El sensor est?? fabricado para tener una tolerancia de +/-2 grados en la precisi??n, bajo condiciones normales. As?? que es posible tener hasta dos grados de diferencia en sensores de temperatura separados (uno podr??a tener ???+2??? grados y el otro ???-2??? grados). Adem??s, la curva de calibraci??n es diferente entre las dos unidades porque el sensor de temperatura exterior tiene un rango de temperaturas m??s amplio. Los???errores por lo general aparecen en los extremos de los rangos de temperatura.

La unidad SoundSpa no recibe transmisiones remotas ???

La unidad puede no estar sincronizada correctamente o puede ser necesario sustituir las bater??as. Ver la secci??n ???USO DE LA TEMPERATURA EXTERIOR??? para instrucciones detalladas. Trate de lograr la sincronizaci??n teniendo las dos unidades a corta distancia entre ellas. Recuerde de colocar siempre el sensor remoto dentro de la distancia efectiva de transmisi??n y lejos de grandes superficies met??licas.

??Cu??l es el tipo de bater??a recomendada?

Recomendamos usar s??lo bater??as alcalinas.

??Adonde puedo montar el sensor remoto?

Para lograr lecturas precisas y extender la vida ??til del sensor, recomendamos el montaje al abrigo de la luz solar directa y de la lluvia. La niebla y la bruma no

afectan al sensor, pero grandes cantidades de lluvia intensa pueden afectarlo. Para protegerlo, recomendamos el montaje debajo del voladizo de su casa, del garaje o???cualquier otro lugar adecuado que lo abrigue de la luz solar directa y de la lluvia. Las modificaciones no autorizadas por el fabricante pueden invalidar el derecho del usuario a operar este dispositivo.
