Assembly & operation
Read the entire Important Safeguards section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
Note: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual.
Note: When mounting the blades, always wear work gloves.
1.Untwist the power cord to avoid tangling.
2.Remove Blade Cover (1).
3.Choose Comb
4.The Blade Lever (50) allows the operator to change the closeness setting of the cut without an additional attachment comb. At the top position, the blades will give the closest cut and leave the hair the shortest. Pushing the lever downward increases the cutting length. If hair jams the blades, switch the Blade Lever up and down rapidly to clear the blades. Before turning the Clipper off, rapidly move the Blade Lever from close cut to longer cut twice. This will clear trimmings from the Clipper.
. Make sure Sliding Switch (45) is in OFF position prior to plugging the Clipper into an electrical outlet.
6.Plug the Clipper into any standard 120V electrical outlet, and push the Switch Cover (45) forward to turn the unit on.
7.Clean, brush, and dry the pet thoroughly before clipping or trimming.
8.To prevent accidents, turn off the appliance and disconnect its power supply after use. Inspect the Clipper, making sure it is free of hair, oil, or debris between the cutting blade teeth. Lubricate using the provided clipper oil. Turn the unit on to distribute the oil and to make sure it runs smoothly. Wipe off any excess oil. This should be done after each use. Clean, lubricate replace Blade Cover (1) and then store the appliance indoors out of the reach of children.
Do not use damaged appliances. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use.
1.BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the appliance. Check for loose screws, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, damaged electrical wiring, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
2.Blades should be oiled with the provided clipper oil every few haircuts to maintain the Clipper in peak condition. Do not use hair oil, grease, or any solvent on the Clipper. The solvent will evaporate and leave a residue that can slow down the blade???s motion.
Blade Alignment
1.The Clipper comes oiled and aligned from the factory. Blades must be realigned after they have been removed for cleaning or replacement.
2.To realign blades, match the upper and lower blades teeth up, point for point. The end of the top blade teeth should be approximately 1.2mm (just under 1/16???) back from the bottom blade.
3.If blade alignment is incorrect: add a few drops of oil to the blades, turn the Clipper on for a few moments, then turn off and unplug.
4.Loosen screws slightly and readjust.
. Tighten screws after blade is aligned.
